Mission statement
The Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (FASFC) safeguards safety of the food chain and the quality of our food, in the protection of human, animal and plant welfare.
The FASFC integrates all mandated inspection services within the entire food chain.
- The FASFC is the mandated authority for the inspections of foodstuffs, focusing on phytosanitary (vegetable-based sector) preventative and control measures.
- It also works on setting up operational rules pertaining to food chain inspections that the operators must abide by, as well as certification and infrastructural standards.
- The FASFC communicates on all FASFC-related matters, primarily on consumer information.
Clear communication with the FASFC is pivotal.
